This picture is believed to have been taken in Murrayville in the 1880s, and includes a couple of the Murray brothers.  The author believes that one of these men is John Murray (son of Paul Murray) and founder of Murrayville.

The tree appears to be cottonwood.

Four men, a BIG saw, and some sawed cottonwood
